SPORTS DAY 2024

St. Mary's English High School celebrated its much-awaited Sports Day for the Junior Block on 9th December 2024 at the school's sprawling sports ground. The day was marked with enthusiasm, energy, and a vibrant display of sportsmanship by the Juniors.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed personalities:

• Chief Guest: Mrs. Premlata Agarwal, a renowned mountaineer, Padma Shri awardee, and Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award recipient.

  
  

• Guest of Honor: Mr. Naveen J. Sundi, an ex-national football referee, Referee Instructor at the All India Football Federation, and Head of Referees.

The program began with a grand opening ceremony where the school Principal Fr. Vernon D'Souza, Manager Fr. Jeyaraj, Vice Principal Sr. Eliza, and Vice Principal Fr. Petrus jointly released colorful balloons, symbolizing the spirit of freedom, sportsmanship, and unity. Following this, the dignitaries addressed the gathering, encouraging the students to embrace sports as an integral part of their holistic development.

In his speech, Principal Fr. Vernon D'Souza emphasized the importance of physical activity, teamwork, and perseverance. Manager Fr. Jeyaraj motivated the students to strive for excellence, while Vice Principals Sr. Eliza and Fr. Petrus spoke about the significance of discipline and sportsmanship in shaping young minds.
