St. Mary’s English High School was founded by the Late Stanley Rose Meyer and his wife, Ethel Rose Meyer, with 5 students, in the year 1943 with the intention of helping out the Anglo-Indian community. "Education is a social process. Education is growth. Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." — John Dewey
As we stand at the threshold of a new and promising academic session 2026–2027, it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you all back to St. Mary's English High School.
The educational landscape is constantly evolving, and so are we. Moving beyond rote learning, we are embracing competency-based education that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in alignment with the latest curriculum and educational guidelines.
We now find ourselves at a transformative juncture in Indian education. In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, CBSE is leading a historic shift from merely what to learn to how to think.
At St. Mary's, we are fully embracing these progressive changes to ensure that our students are not only examination-ready but also future-ready.
